There is a battle for the souls of people and this battle happens in the marketplace. In Ephesians 6:12, the Apostle Paul says, “For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” In the KJV, the word “wrestle” replaces “struggle.”
Have you ever seen a wrestling match that involves skin-to-skin combat? People who are miles apart cannot physically wrestle with one another. They need to be in close proximity with the other person, because wrestling involves a close combat. In an actual wrestling match, one must stay within a circle that is 42 inches in diameter. If one steps out of the circle, then one is called out for a technicality.
You must be a prophet in the marketplace because you need to step into the circle. You need to step into the wrestling arena. You need to be in close proximity to the enemy for you to win the match. Moreover, you and your enemy have to be in the same wrestling arena. As prophets in the marketplace, we want to win people to Jesus. We have opponents in this endeavor and they are dominating the marketplaces.
