Human behavior is the result of a weaving of innate and learned experiences (Budd & Rothestein, 2000, p.98). We can say that behavior does not define our being but we can also say that it is part of our being. And, experiences do shape not only our behavior but also the things that we are – how we respond, how we do things, how we speak, etc.

Experience seems to be a vital part of transformation because it provides a baseline of transformation. It makes you differentiate the former state from the transformed state. It makes you appreciate the transformed state because it is the one who honed it to be the way it is.

People should not be wary about experiencing new things. As Socrates had put it, wonder is the beginning of wisdom. The learned would not be who they are if they did not experience things. Experience transforms us into the person we are. It either builds us or breaks us – but at the end of the day, it transforms us – if not, others.

In the levels of self, the foundation is the individual self. Nobody can get to the other levels without going through first with the individual level. It is the baseline of everything that happens in the different levels. It is the one that makes all of the levels. One should nurture himself so that he can also nurture others. When the inner man is filled, it overflows.

It takes a high degree of commitment to begin the journey of understanding yourself at a deeper level. It takes the journey of understanding yourself at a deeper level. It takes courage to look and accept, without self-judgement, the self-imposed barriers you fashion. But the rewards of self-knowledge are great (Hacker & Roberts, 2003, p.119). A person’s life is a journey of self-discovery. It is an adventure that reveals oneself not only to his own but also to others.

Many times, people start on the wrong side of the race. One reason why, according to Hacker and Roberts is that many people believe that the document must be perfect and complete. Quite the opposite is intended. The life plan is a lifelong working document. Begin with an imperfect version, knowing that you will enhance it over time. The key is to start (Hacker & Roberts, 2003, p.135).

If we intend to transform – if we intend something new, we have to start it within us. There would always be things that we cannot change, but the key is to get that vision within ourselves and to work on it. We have to be the first one to believe that the vision we got – no matter impossible it may seem – is possible. The process might be excruciating, but a tree won’t grow if it did not get out of its seed.

How is God calling you to grow in this season?

A World that Works for You and Me

What is the number one killer of progress and transformation in any group of people? Apathy. The thing is, when people do not care, the world will not work. The picture of a world that works looks like people who are “audacious” enough to take the responsibility for the entire human race. This means, people have to start caring in order for true transformation to take place.

 

A “survival of the fittest” mentality does not produce transformation. It does not do anything for quality of life. In this mentality, it is every person for himself or herself. One does not care about the other’s welfare as long as one is provided for and protected. This mentality will only promote survival, nothing more.

 

Let’s take the cue from Jesus. He tells us that the most important thing is love (Matthew 22:37-39). He came because of love (John 3:16). Paul tells us that above anything else, love remains (1 Corinthian 13:4).

 

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-39)

 

Each person holds the opportunity to make a difference in this world. In fact, we have the power to create a world that works for all of us. However, it is not an easy task. It requires courage. It requires responsibility and commitment. It requires love. Take a step forward: “What we create together is a relationship in which our work can show up as making a difference in people’s lives…If not you, who? If not now, when? If not here, where?”

 

We have been raised and educated in a “you or me” world, wherein it is not natural for us to think we can truly make a difference in the world. We do aspire to live meaningful lives and to impact the world in a positive way, but it usually goes against how we are programmed to function. A “you and me” world requires for us to  work out a new set of rules of living on your own.

Transformation for You AND Me

Does your life matter?  At the end of the day, this is one of the most difficult and sobering questions that we can answer. Each day, we can either struggle to avoid answering this question or we face it head on. We are somehow trapped in the mediocrity of our individual lives. Most of us doubt that our lives matter, don’t we?

Once you are brave enough to answer this question, this is when the process of transformation can begin to take place. You have to come to a point wherein you can take responsibility for your life and for your impact in this world. Yes, you do have an impact in this world. No matter who you are, where you came from, and what you have, you have an effect in this world. You are the cause in all matters.

The question is, what exactly are you causing?

 

Acknowledging this difficult question creates for you a new domain. The realization that your life can seem pretty insignificant right now is actually a stepping-stone to creating a domain by which things will show up. You can create a “Space” wherein a new future can be created.

 

Have the courage to face these questions : “Does my life make a difference?  Do I really matter?  Do I make a difference?  Does anything make a difference?” In order to cause a difference, you must create a new context. A context is understood as the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed. Context is decisive.

What difference do you want to cause in the world?

Children come to the earth with a plan to assert their divinity. That is why you have to cultivate it, to make sure that their divinity gets properly balanced. At the age of twelve a child’s identification starts to sprout forth and manifest through his ego. At that time, no longer do they want to live under the shadow of parental laws and demands. God gives that nature to them. God puts that in them. That is part of their divinity.

In twisted consciousness they say, “I am God.” At that moment, you have to introduce them to the picture of what the devil is. The devil, in this house, because the devil becomes anything other than you. Anything that steps out of line, and become other than you becomes the devil to you. So you then demonize that which you don’t want to run wild in your household. You think, “I must do you what God did with Lucifer.” He kicked Lucifer out. Anything that is not you, you must kick out of your life. That includes relationships, friendships, courtships, boyfriends, and girlfriends.

 

Anything that does not look like me, I put out. Alone, in reality, is all-one. When you become a spiritual self-master, you come into oneness, where you are all one and you meet no one but yourself. God sat in the heavens and talked to himself, and out of the one comes the many. So, if you want your success in life, you have to talk to yourself. Some of you are too proud to talk to yourself, which is why you are not getting a breakthrough. You have to have conversations with yourself. That what meditation is, when you can go in and impregnate yourself, where you can enter into the void, into the dark within yourself.

 

There is a miracle that is trying to take place in your life, but you have too many interruptions. You have things that are “other than” you trying to break into you. You have stuff other than you trying to get in bed with you, and right now you cannot have that happening because you have too much to create. You have to go within yourself. God did not go looking outside himself for something to happen. He went within himself. All creation happens from within.  That is why, when God could swear by no other, He swore by himself. You have to go within yourself. The Mastery Plan is really easy to work.

What can you do to let go of things that are distracting you from what you are supposed to be doing?

When sin came to earth, people lost sight of who they are.. This is what the Father did He downloaded everything into your program. He downloaded His nature into your being.  So then, because you have His operating software, you should work like and think like God.

 

A computer program can do only what it is programmed to do, nothing more. What happened, is that you got a major deadly virus that totally wiped out your memory.  Now, you are unsure how to function, because you have become programmed with the system-of-this-world thinking. The great news is that God is proactive. He always thinks ahead of the game. He provided you with a backup system.

 

You have the Holy Ghost built-in batteries. You have glory in your backup system. You have so much glory in your backup system, that if you ever woke up to who you were, you would never be afraid of that which you call the devil. The devil, in reality, does not even exist. The secret of You have the Holy Ghost built-in batteries. You have glory in your backup system. speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar.

So, if the devil is a liar, he is nonexistent, because a lie is a lie. It is not the truth, so there is no reality in him. The only devil that exists is the reality you ascribe to him. Let me prove it to you. Let’s look into the American version of the devil. Years ago they would look at the devil and they would make him red. Now, I wonder why they made the devil red? What color of people was on the earth at that time? They could have never taken over the Indian territories unless they perceived them as a devil, or a lie. That was their strategy for conquering territory.

They taught the children that the devil was red, symbolizing the red man, and gave him measles and small pox because, as far as they were concerned, the red man was evil. What color is the devil today? Black.

That is the reason why they can shoot you forty-one times and say, we really didn’t do anything wrong, we were doing our job, it was a mistake. Do you want to know whose fault that is? That is the church’s fault. When you look at images that is where prejudice comes, where you pre-judge.

The devil is whatever your imagination chooses to create and ascribe  reality to a lie. When you say that a certain people are devil-filled because of their culture or the color of their skin, which is the easiest way to confuse a people about their god identity. That is why you cannot afford to believe that you are anything less than god.  Being god is about image, purpose, and spiritual positioning. Being god is about knowing the secret to life in you.

 

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh  or us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

 

Even your light affliction, all afflictions that you have, is only for a moment. Your hardship, which is your affliction, is working an eternal weight of glory. Let me give you a new perception of hardship. Let me tell you what burden really is. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. All burdens are light. Burdens are a revelation. Every burden has been designed to cause you to see God’s plan and design. Whatever trauma I am going through, I become yoked with Him.

Then that yoke is easy and that burden has now become light, the light of revelation. Take my yoke upon you. I am not carrying weight in my flesh or carnal man; God carries the weight for me. When you understand yoke, that means take my yoke upon you, become yoked with me, become one with me, and learn of me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for my yoke, or my yogi, is easy. This is where you make Jesus your yogi, the one that you listen to, where He trains and mentors you.

 

 

For my yoke is easy. My ability to teach you and guide you, to be your yogi, to be the one that guides you is easy. When you begin to get yoked with Christ, and allow Him to be your yogi, then it is light. You are no longer doing it on your own strength, but you are doing it as a spiritual self-master. You are doing it with mastery, because it is the master himself that is guiding you through your experience.
